We gave the puzzle solver a round of upgrades focused on photo scanning. It now walks you through setup step by step, starting with a choice between numbers and a picture of your puzzle.
Recognition got better too: the solver finds the board itself in a screenshot instead of misreading pictures as numbers, and reads the grid size straight from the image. You then check the grid and tap the empty space, so a wrong guess gets corrected before matching. Bigger boards are more reliable as well: 7x7 and 8x8 puzzles are counted correctly more often.
Picture puzzles need the finished image to match against, so the solver now asks for it in a clear dialog. If a board still comes back unsolvable, you can choose to send the failed scan to help us improve recognition.
